Andre Foster

Foster arrives at Adams State in Spring 2026 after serving at the University of New Haven, where he helped guide the Chargers through their transition to the Division I level beginning with the 2025 season. In their first year competing at the Division I level, the Chargers posted a 5-22 overall record.

Prior to his time at New Haven, Foster spent one season at Nichols College as the head coach of both the men’s and women’s volleyball programs. He led the men’s team to a 24-5 record while the women’s team finished 6-19. During his time at Nichols, Foster was named the 2024 NEVC Men’s Coach of the Year.

Before his time at Nichols, Foster served as the Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, from August 2022 to December 2023. In this role, he played a key part in recruiting efforts and athlete evaluations while focusing on coaching the team’s blockers and middles. His ability to develop strong relationships with student-athletes, coaches, and club contacts was instrumental in the Musketeers’ success.

Prior to Xavier, Foster worked as a Graduate Assistant at Purdue University Fort Wayne (August 2021 – July 2022), where he ran the defense and blocking for the team and played an integral role in recruiting and player evaluations.

In addition to his coaching experience, Foster has been actively involved at the national level. In 2024, he served on the AVCA Division III Men’s Volleyball All-Region and All-American voting committee and was also part of the AVCA Diversity Award-winning group in 2022. From 2024–25, he contributed as a member of the Division III Men’s Volleyball Top 20 voting committee.
