2012 Race-by-Race Statistics

2011-2012: Personal bests of 10:00 in the 3000 meters, 16:58 in the 5000 meters, and 37:00 in the 10,000 meters... All-Conference in Cross Country... All-Conference in the 3000 meters indoors... All-Conference in the 5000 meters both indoor and outdoors.

Prep: Was a 3-time All-State performer for the Alamosa HS Mean Moose, coached by ASC Hall of Famer Larry Zaragoza, Peter de la Cerda and Enrique Guerrero… Was a member of the 2009 State Championship Cross Country team… Placed 9th individually… Also won a 4X800-meter relay state title on the track in 2008… Placed 8th in the 3,200 meters in 2009… Helped the Mean Moose cross country team to four regional titles… They placed 3rd at state in 2008, 10th in 2009 and 17th in 2006… The track and field team also earned a 3rd place finish in 2009… Had a 5K cross country best time of 19:06, set as a senior in 2009… Had outdoor season bests of 2:30 in the 800 and 11:48 in the 3,200 meters, both set in 2008… Also posted a best of 5:26 in the 1,600 meters while running during the 2009-10 indoor club season.

Academics: Is majoring in Government and Pre-Law and has a 3.8 GPA… Wants to become a lawyer… Graduated from Alamosa HS in 2010 with a 3.84 GPA… Was an academic letterwinner in 2008-09… Named as the Academic Junior of the Year that year.

Off the Course: Born 10/14/91… Daughter of Damon and Konnie Martin… Damon is the Grizzlies’ director of cross country and track and field and is an ASC Hall of Famer... Brother Tanner is 16… Enjoys reading books, watching TV, and playing Call of Duty… Favorite movie is Cool Runnings… Favorite restaurant is Nino’s… Favorite professional sports teams are the Philadelphia Eagles, Denver Nuggets, and Denver Broncos… Favorite professional athletes are Usain Bolt and Sally Kipyego.
