ALAMOSA, Colo. (March 30, 2017) –Adams State University's Director of Cross Country and Track & Field,
Damon Martin, has announced dates for the upcoming 2017 High Altitude Camp.
The annual event will take place in Alamosa, Colorado, on July 23-28.
Elevated at 7,544 feet above sea level, the High Altitude Camp offers a step-by-step training approach used by Adams State cross country teams who have combined for 43 National Championships. The event is open to anyone as groups will be formed based on each camper's ability level and mileage. Specific learning sessions will be held and a curriculum guide will also be provided.
The Adams State men are fresh off a 2016 NCAA Division II Championship that produced six All-Americans. The title served as the program's 24
th overall national crown. The Adams State women produced three All-Americans and a runner-up finish at the national championships. The camp is directed by Martin who has coached 1,077 All-Americans and is a 34-time National Coach of the Year recipient. A guest speaker for the camp will be announced at a later date and posted on www.asugrizzlies.com.
